Which Season Are You In?

Let’s be honest: Most people treat fitness like it’s just about weight loss. They’re either “on a diet” or "off a diet."
They hit a goal, then set an even lower one. Or hit snooze on their health altogether.
But here’s the deal: You’re not meant to live in a calorie deficit forever.
Health is more than shrinking yourself.
This year, try a new season:
• Build muscle (it’s hard, but you’ll feel like a superhero)
• Learn a new skill (fun, functional, and has nothing to do with the scale)
• Maintain your progress (the most underrated flex of all)
Important note: Maintenance doesn’t mean “do nothing.”
It means:
• Still committing a workout schedule- even if it's reduced from 4 days to 2 days per week
• Prioritizing sleep and recovery when possible
• Eating like an adult (most of the time)
• Not setting personal bests for step counts, but maintaining a standard
It’s showing up, and doing a few key habits - even when life is a dumpster fire of meetings, carpools, and missing socks.
Many of my clients say they want to age gracefully; to move well, stay strong, and keep up with their kids (or dogs, or grandkids).
And guess what helps more than a number on the scale?
Muscle. Mobility. Momentum.
So which season are you in?
And which one do you need next?
